Short description: Natural disasters occurring in the atmospheric, soil and water environment. Assessment of their occurrence, the possibility of limiting their consequences.
Full description: Methods for classification of accidents, catastrophes and natural disasters. The formation of a natural disasters. Disasters and hazards in the atmospheric environment. Disasters and hazards in the soil environment. Disasters and hazards that may exist in the water environment. Other risks having a mass character.

Learning outcomes: After completing the course student in terms of knowledge: 1.Knows the principles for the assessment of natural hazards in the environment. 2. Knows warning systems against extreme phenomena occurring in the environment; the student has knowledge on collecting, identifying and selecting information about the risks. In terms of skills: Can apply the assessment methods of any natural hazard occurring in the environment. Can find the relevant data to solve the problem which is the subject of the analysis. In terms of social competences: Is aware of the responsibility for the environment and protection.
Assessment methods and assessment criteria: Total grade components: grade from classes (50%) + lecture (50%)
